Three-Day Sail to Racine Oct. 8, 9 and 10

Join us for some or all of the adventure as Leela returns home North.

We will leave between 9-10 am on Friday and head to Waukegan. Get to know a new harbor. We'll BBQ and check out the harbor bar(s).

Saturday we sail up to Winthrop Harbor (2-3 hrs). On our way down in the beginning of the summer we met the commodore and some very very nice people there.

On Sunday we will do the final leg about four hours to Racine. you’ll get to see what it’s like to pass under a bridge with the boat.

You can join for all or part of the trip. On Saturday my mom will drive up to Waukegan with peeps that couldn't join for Friday (room for four people plus mom).

It is possible to take a train from Chicago to Waukegan or to Winthrop that means you could come up and join us at any time, Even just for the day sail from Winthrop to Racine!

We will arrange for chase cars to bring us back down to Chicago on Sunday. (we will likely be back to the city by between 6 and 7 PM.

If for any reason the weather looks far more favorable for the following weekend we will postpone and do the exact same routine the following weekend.

The only cost will be to share expenses for the harbor slip each night and food. Please bring your own drinks and 1 gallon of spring water.

The sailing is not over yet! Even though the boat will be in Racine! Each week we will go up and sail until it looks like a freeze is coming! more on this in another blog!

contact me ASAP if you think you can make it for this trip! 562-652-7374.
